How do I track the status of my order?
|
|
There are two ways you can learn about the status of your orders. One is by receiving email notifications and the other by viewing the status online. e-2-door proactively informs you through email the current status of your order. At the same time, e-2-door updates the status of the order online. You can track your orders through the "My Orders" page view, which may be accessed from the navigation bar under "My Account"

How do I cancel my order?
|
|
As long as the merchant has not processed your order, e-2-door will gladly cancel it. However, if the merchant has processed your order, e-2-door must treat your request as a return. In the case of a return, e-2-door will charge a Return Handling Fee, plus any applicable taxes.
To cancel an order, please send an email to as quickly as possible. Your request for cancellation may also be placed at the details page of the "My Orders" page view. Look for the "Need To Cancel?" hyperlink at the "Status" column and follow the instructions. We will do everything possible to accommodate your request.

PAYMENT

Is it safe for me to pay e-2-door over the Internet?
|
|
All credit card payment transactions in the e-2-door site are enabled through third-party payment processors
(e.g., BPI, Equitable, etc.). These third-party payment processors provide e-2-door with software that resides
in the secure server and connects e-2-door to their payment processing service. When you enter your credit
card number on the e-2-door site, the secure server accesses this payment processing service software. Since
this access is initiated from e-2-door's secure server, this transaction takes place over a secure line. The
payment processing service then validates the credit card information, initiates payment (online real-time or not),
and provides confirmation of the session so that the transaction can be completed.
Other payment options that do not require you to provide confidential or sensitive payment information over the Internet are also available, such as debit account (with participating banks) and online site credit (for B2B preferred/select clients only).
Verisign, a company that issues digital certificates, adds an additional level of security to a secure server for payment transactions. A secure server ensures that the transmission between your browser and the server is secure. Digital authentication takes security to the next level and validates the server receiving the information as the correct one. That way, a clever thief can't spoof the network by rerouting server transmissions to his site in order to steal transactions. Digital certificates validate the e-2-door site and guarantee you that its server is encrypting the credit card information.

At what point am I charged for a purchase?
|
|
e-2-door will charge your credit card when the merchant site confirms availability of your product.
Your bank account for Debit and 1Time Payment transactions, on the other hand, will be billed upon
confirmation of the order by e-2-door.

Why is my credit card being charged more than once when I've only place one order thru e-2-door?
|
|
If the retailer from which you ordered your merchandise has, for whatever reason, shipped your items separately, then
you will be billed for each item separately. However, e-2-door will bill you only once for shipping and handling.

Where can I use the online services of e-2-door?
|
|
e-2-door will be initially deployed in the Philippines and only after the site has been thoroughly market tested shall its business model be replicated to other countries in the region. Also, the process of incorporating the nuances of each country's international trade laws and cross-border logistics into e-2-door will have to be considered.

What type of browser should I use?
|
|
e-2-door is best viewed with Internet Explorer version 5.0 and up. Netscape Navigator version 4.0 and up may also be used however certain java script elements in the site may be treated differently.

I am getting a "Javascript-Unspecified error". What should I do?
|
|
It may be that your browser is using an outdated scripting engine. Go to the provider's site (e.g. www.microsoft.com for IE browsers) to upgrade to a higher version of the browser or install the newest version of the scripting engine.

Why does the retailer site say that an item is available, but e-2-door says it's not?
|
|
The retailer's site may not have been updated when you went shopping. e-2-door apologizes for the inconvenience.

How do I know that e-2-door won't sell my information?
|
|
e-2-door is working towards acquiring accreditation from one of the existing third-party privacy certification programs. These programs warrant to site visitors that e-2-door is a legitimate business and that it has agreed to follow certain ethical business practices.

Does e-2-door handle returns and exchanges?
|
|

Return instructions will be provided when a return request is made by phone or email. Any refund however will be received only after the return has been processed.

I am not happy with my item. It doesn't work, or, it doesn't work/look as advertised

If you are having problems with a product call the manufacturer or retailer directly to determine what its policies and warranty programs, if any, are. Some products you buy may not have a warranty program that covers international destinations. If possible, you should have your product serviced locally. If this is not possible, you may, depending upon the retailer or manufacturers's policy, be able to ship the product back to them for services.

What if I want to exchange my product?
|
|
e-2-door does not provide an exchange service. If you wish to exchange a product, you will need to return it for a refund as per above and reorder. Where a return is desired due to an error made by e-2-door, the fees for e-2-door’s return and shopping fulfillment services may be waived for the purpose of reprocessing the purchase.

Does e-2-door have the right security to protect my information?
|
|
By developing and deploying a site using secure server technology, e-2-door protects itself and its customers when transacting online. A secure server automatically includes encryption functionality. Encryption ensures that if a transaction (e.g., transmitting credit card information or email) is intercepted, it is unreadable.
The lock symbol at the bottom of your Internet browser indicates a secured site. You can verify the security of the page by viewing the properties information.
For Internet Explorer browsers:
- Right mouse button click the page and choose "properties." A pop-up window would be displayed showing the encryption properties.
For Netscape browsers:
- Right mouse button click the page and choose "view info." The properties of the frame would be shown including the encryption level.

Are you using 40 bit or 128 bit encryption?

The level of encryption depends on your browser. Most export versions of browsers only support 40-bit encryption. You can however download a higher level of encryption from the providers' site (e.g. www.microsoft.com for IE browsers).

Is e-2-door able to deliver outside the United States?
|
|
Delivery from sites that do not ship internationally is one of the major benefits of e-2-door. Most online retailers in the United States, for example, will not take delivery outside the USA. By using e-2-door, all your purchases from these sites will be handled from the time of purchase, all the way to door delivery. You need not worry about receiving your orders here in the Philippines and any other country e-2-door chooses to serve.

When does e-2-door ship-out my order?
|
|
e-2-door ships every Friday of the week. Your order must reach e-2-door by the end of Thursday for shipment the next day, since Thursday is e-2-door's consolidation and packing day. If you miss this deadline, e-2-door will schedule your order for the next ship-out date. This will either be the following Friday or sooner depending on volume.

How long does it take for the product I purchased to arrive?
|
|
Depending on the product's availability at the site you ordered from, e-2-door is able to deliver your orders within 9-15 days (via air) and 35-45 days (via surface). Product availability is defined as the day the merchant ships-out the product.
|

I've ordered two items at the same time, but they were shipped to me separately. Will I be charged twice for shipping?
|
|
If you ordered multiple items at the same time and they are shipped separately, e-2-door will bill you only once for shipping and handling regardless of the number of shipments to complete the order.
|
|
Why does e-2-door charge on a per item basis?
|
|
e-2-door charges on a per item basis to allow you to evaluate the costs of international procurement and door-delivery for each item. Since the costs are known upfront you will be able to decide which item or items you want. Also, by quoting you the costs per item you are able to shop across multiple vendors. However, if you decide to buy several items or consolidate your purchase from the same merchant, you are given a discount.

What is a merchant consolidation discount?
|
|
e-2-door offers a consolidation discount when two or more items or products are purchased from the same merchant. This discount escalates in value depending on the number of items purchased. This ranges between 5% to 20% off the shipping and handling charges based on the number of items you buy. You can only view this discount in your shopping cart prior to checkout.

The retailer is running a promo. They are not charging a shipping fee. Will this affect my shipping charges?
|
|
When a site offers free shipping, it typically only applies to those orders placed within the U.S. and being shipped within the U.S. Since your order would be classified as international, the free shipping promo would not apply.

How do I use the shopping calculator?
|
|
The shopping calculator can only be activated from the shopping browser. You can access the shopping browser from the e-2-door main page by clicking on "Let's go shopping!" or clicking "Shopping Browser" under "Shop" from the navigation bar after sign in.
You begin shopping by loading a merchant site into the browser. Then when you are ready to compute the door delivered price of the item you want to purchase, select the product and activate the calculator by clicking on the "Buy" button.
If the site has been mapped, the online purchase order will be partially filled with the required information, e.g., description, category and price. Otherwise, you would have to key-in the details. When you are done, simply click on the calculate button to view the door-delivered price of the item for both air and surface freight.

Where is the "BUY" button?
|
|
The "Buy" button is located at the center of the e-2-door shopping browser. The "Buy" button is the same as the e-2-door Shopping Calculator. The calculator provides you with an itemized breakdown of the purchase from the item's Unit Price, to Shipping and Handling and Duties and Taxes. It also gives you the total door-delivered PRICE in US Dollars and your own local currency.

How do I determine the category of a product?
|
|
The product classification is determined automatically for mapped merchant sites. For sites not yet configured, a quick guide is available at the "Merchants" page view. The "Merchants" page view is accessible from the e-2-door shopping browser. Click the "Merchants" button at the shopping browser.

What are the cost components of the door-delivered price?
|
|
The door-delivered price of an item is computed based on its list price (times the quantity, if there are more than one item), shipping and handling charges, custom duties, and taxes.

Are there any other charges?
|
|
No there aren't. There are no membership or subscription fees for using e-2-door's procurement and delivery service. Nor does e-2-door charge its members for each transaction.
|
|
Are the Featured Merchants the only stores I can access?
|
|
e-2-door offers you endless shopping possibilities. The featured merchants are just suggestions that e-2-door provides for easy reference -- i.e., possible shopping destinations for the different product categories handled by e-2-door. At the lower left hand portion of the shopping browser, e-2-door also provides a space for you to type in the address (URL) of your favorite website.

Do the online sales and discounts of the merchant site apply to me?
|
|
Yes, they do. e-2-door passes on to its members the benefits of global shopping and with it the opportunities provided by the economies of scale of a large market like the US. The only work to be done on your part is searching for these online bargains and deals.

Does e-2-door support manufacturer promotions or rebates?
|
|
At this time, e-2-door is unable to redeem any retailer or manufacturer promotions or rebates. e-2-door hopes to provide this service to its customers in the future.

How do I search for items?
|
|
Use our Search tool, located at the bottom left hand corner of the shopping browser, to find a comprehensive list of retailer websites carrying the product you need.
Begin by identifying the product you require on the space provided and selecting the search engine you want to use from the list of available online search engines. Once completed, click on the "Go" button. The results of the search will be posted on the e-2-door shopping page.
Next, choose the merchant site you believe carries the product by clicking on the available link from the results provided by the search engine. After the merchant site has loaded, locate the product on the page displayed or use the merchant site's own search tool.

Can I shop from any site?
|
|
You can shop from any site, except for auction sites. You can go directly to any site of your choice by typing in the URL (site address) in the space provided by the shopping browser, or you may use our "Featured Merchants" shopping guide of over 100 online retailers.

Can I buy from any merchant?
|
|
At present, e-2-door does sourcing and procurement mostly from U.S.-based merchants and suppliers. To a limited extent, e-2-door can also buy from merchants in Canada and Great Britain. e-2-door, however, is planning to offer procurement from other markets in Europe and in Asia as well. It hopes to expand its procurement capability in the near future.

How can I comparison shop?
|

Unfortunately, e-2-door does not provide a price comparison service for products. If you are interested in price comparisons, e-2-door suggests that you go to a specialty site, such as MySimon.com, CNET.com, ZDNet.com or Yahoo.com within the e-2-door shopping browser. Compare product prices using the specialty site's facility then use the e-2-door shopping calculator to make the purchase.

Does e-2-door provide enough sales and after-sales support for its online services?
|

e-2-door increases the effectiveness of its online services by providing you the following support features:
- During checkout, e-2-door presents you with different payment and shipping service options, displays the total amount of purchases and charges (item list price versus shipping and handling, custom duties and tariff charges) and suggests related merchant sites.
- After checkout, e-2-door bridges the gap between the purchase and delivery of the product and manages your expectations through post-transaction communication. e-2-door sends notifications through email, displays the status of orders online and supplies the product's ETA during order confirmation.
- Also, all throughout the online session you can contact e-2-door for suggestions, comments, inquiries and complaints using the help desk facility of the site. This is over and above the online help and frequently asked questions already available on the site.
